TEACHING TECHNIQUE

Teaching Technique at Rose playschool

It is not all play at a playschool. It includes progressive education, multiple intelligence, holistic learning, and the Montessori system and play-way method. We at Rose playschool did extensive research in early childhood care education that shows that children between 3 to 6 years are crucial for shaping the neurological structure of the brain and for cognitive development. This makes us competitive and also enhances the significance of our preschool curriculum.

The teaching methodology is an important element of Rose playschool. We have specialized systems of Montessori teaching which are based on years of experience. We have introduced new philosophies like the Play way method and multiple intelligence and incorporated them into the curriculum for children up to 6 years.

Play way Method:

The Play way method is one of the most important aspects of Play way teaching which demands creativity from both teacher and child. Our Play way method is a structured and documented system with a mixture of adaptation of best practices and with a greater focus on physical activities like role play, art & craft, stories, music & movement.

Between 2 to 3 years, children develop language and learn how to communicate through play and express their feelings. We at Rose playschool perform a play-way method that makes it meaningful and focused. Our trained teachers are also an important part of the play-way method as they are qualified and competent to guide a child through the play-way method. Nowadays, the NTT program is being offered by many institutes which are based on the play-way method. But our methodology is getting more popular day by day.

Montessori Education:

This methodology is introduced and developed by Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori. Our Montessori education teaching technique includes the emphasis on independence, respect, and freedom for a childā€™s psychological development. This methodology is scientifically designed to guide children systematically through a series of activities and slowly increase the level of complexity.

Our Montessori Education includes activities based on practical life experience, language skills, mathematics, and Fine motor & gross motor skills. Our key element of Montessori education is that student learns from designed concepts to abstract concepts.Ā  They learn concepts from working with materials, not from instructions only. For example children learn how to trace an alphabet and recognize its physical structure before moving on to phonic sounds.

There are very few schools in India that completely follow Montessori Method. However other schools are including certain Montessori methods into their curriculum. That is generally in the form of an activity room where students are allotted specialized educational materials to work on.Ā  Since Rose playschool aims to improve the concentration abilities of children, the classrooms and materials are aesthetically designed and give a home-like feeling to children.

We at Rose playschool working on the Montessori Method and have trained teachers in the methodology from a certified institute. In fact, once you visit the school, the school structure will speak for itself as a Montessori structure.

Multiple Intelligence:

The theory of Multiple Intelligence is introduced by Howard Gardner in 1983. That differentiates intelligence and learning into various models such as visual learning, auditory learning, and kinaesthetic learning. Different kids have different learning capabilities and styles. Our Multiple intelligence theory proposes seven abilities that govern the learning process in individuals like linguistic ability, cognitive ability, socio-emotional ability, logical & Mathematical ability, kinaesthetic ability, creative ability, and problem-solving ability.

According to the Multiple Intelligence method, our purpose of schooling must be to develop the intelligence level of the children by the appropriate method of learning style. This has broken down the traditional system that evaluates academic excellence only in terms of logical and linguistic abilities such as reading, writing, and mathematics.

Though it is relatively a new model in India, Rose playschool has adopted it and while designing the curriculum we make sure that multiple intelligence topics should be covered in various ways.

With the development in the field of child psychology and the early education system, our schools are continuously innovative and introduce new practices in our Rose playschool teaching methodology.

Why teaching techniques are important?

Our main objective of Rose playschool is to develop a child who has ventured out of his comfort zone for the first time and started to feel confident about himself. The child enjoys creative activities and the process of learning at our schools. Our curriculum gives importance to every aspect of child development.

All the above-mentioned methodologies include lots of merits to achieve the objective of child development. For the Montessori teaching method, our trained teachers innovate within the given guidelines. If any school adopts a methodology without proper training, the result would be a repetitive and aimless process that will not help in the development of the child.

A school can adopt one or a combination of more methodologies as long as the teacher is well trained and capable to implement the methodology. Neither every child is similar, nor does every child require the same amount of care to become independent in their actions. It is not just a learning experience for children, but also for parents who begin to grow with their children.

Our teachers are the backbone of the entire Rose playschool system. They are entitled to the task of educating children on their eating habits, reading skills, toilet habits, and developing their cognitive skills.

Hence to conclude that there are various methods of teaching that have been adopted by different schools across India. However, Rose playschool is different in approach and is differentiating into various ways of teaching. Lots of times, we have seen that these different approaches can correspond at a certain level depending on the need of various children.

Apart from having these methods, innovations, and early childhood development, we are capable of pre-empting your childā€™s needs by guiding the child along with the process of discovery and learning without ever being obstructive. Our teachers respect the uniqueness in every child & every child is important to them the focus is equal on all the children. Our Teachers & Staff are guided by one principle: ā€œLove Them, Own Them & Then Make Them Learnā€
